Patrick Greelis

Patrick and Mary Greelis immigrated to the United States from Ireland between 1835 and 1839.  They settled with their family in Troy, New York.  This, as we know it now, was the start of the Greelis family in the United States.

Note, The above information was from the 1850 census for the Village of West Troy, Town of Watervliet, Albany County New York.   Relationships are not noted in the census.  However, it is assumed all the above children are the sons and daughters of Patrick and Mary Greelis.  The census indicated Patrick's occupation was listed as a laborer and he had real estate valued at $600.

In that Thomas Henry was born in Ireland in 1835 and their next son, Robert born in Troy N.Y. in 1839, it would appear Patrick and Mary immigrated to the United States between 1835 and 1839.
